Here is the most recent picture of baby Wood! Today we are 10 weeks and 2 days. I can't believe how big he or she is. We actually saw the baby move on the ultrasound! He/she move his/her arms and legs!
OK, everyone keeps getting confused on how many doctors I have and who does what so here is the break down.... The first doctor is the one who performed my surgery back in November and is now monitoring my cysts. We will refer to him as doctor C. The second doctor is the perinatal specialist who is monitoring the blood clot. We will call him Doctor K. Last but definitely not least is my OB who will deliver the baby in August. We will call her doctor A.
So, yesterday I saw doctor K. I had a minor freak out about feeling so well so I called and they ended up being able to see me. Not much has changed since last week. Doctor K said that the blood clot has gotten smaller but that it could take months for this thing to go away. He said that I am still considered "High Risk" and that we need to find peace in the fact that we are doing everything that we can. On the other hand he said that the baby looked great and that it is encouraging to see the baby growing. The heartbeat was 167 beats per minute. Overall, it was a relief to see the baby and the heartbeat. Other than that, Grant and I are still concerned and nervous about this blood clot. We are continuing to pray that it will safely make its way out of my body so that the baby can continue to grow and grow and grow!
Today I will see Doctor C. I expect that this appointment will be very similar to yesterdays appointment with doctor K. Grant is sitting this one out. I think I will be fine. Hopefully there will be no surprises:) My next appointment will not be until February 16. That is almost two weeks away! I am going to have to find something to keep me busy! I dream about the day that they will tell me the blood clot is gone and the baby is safe! Until then I will just keep praying and try to stay sane!!!
